These days we are living under constant pressure of insecurity in all phases of our lives and at every corner and every step we have a fear of somebody watching us waiting for his turn to harm us. The overload and stress in our lives is driving us to such conditions. The need for security is being felt by one and all, at all levels – individual and group. The rise in competitions in all areas is leading us towards grave inconsistency in our performances and thus giving birth to grave insecurity. Thus we find the mushrooming of Event Security Companies. These companies are approached by organizations conducting special events. These organizations feel responsible for the security of the participants of their events so they appoint Special Event Security.

 


A contract with such Event Security Companies is made through its General Manager. The role of the General Manager is a very responsible one. He takes important decisions that take care of the security of an organization. He is the sole person who is responsible for all the aspects of business operations of a security company that may have many other offices too. . A General Manager’s post is a very prestigious one. It is one of the biggest posts in a company. A General Manager of a company has to manage all the departments of the company. He has supreme authority and seconds only the CEO or the Chairman or the Director of the company. The job description of a General Manager of an Event Security Company includes planning, implementing and invigilating of day to day activities like financial budgeting, following rules, policies and procedures, training the staff and supervising their work, and working with the customers to maintain a high quality of work. Only when a General Manager works with complete dedication and sincerity does an event security companies see success.

 


A Bachelors degree in Business Management or related fields is the minimum qualification required for the post of a General Manager of an Event Security Company. Administration Skills should be inborn or developed in a General Manager of an Event Security Company.
